Free sheet music reader

Free to download. Free to keep using.

enScore is a free sheet music reader for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision, Android, Amazon Fire, e-ink readers and Windows. The free version has no time limit, no limit on scores and needs no account. It reads your PDFs, turns pages by tap, pedal or MIDI, and lets you write on the music, all without buying anything. enScore Pro, a single optional purchase, adds advanced tools for performers: setlists with a page range and tempo per entry, annotation layers you can show or hide, Score Snips (paste the bars after a page turn before it), Score Shortcuts (tap a repeat or a Coda and the page jumps) and IMSLP search inside the app.

What the free version includes

  • Unlimited scores, folders and search
  • Pen, highlighter, whiteout, text and stamps
  • Half-page and alternating page turns
  • Tap, swipe, keyboard, Bluetooth pedal and MIDI page turns
  • Titles and composers that fill themselves in
  • Camera, scanner and forScore import
  • Metronome and tuner
  • Reorder, rotate, hide or delete pages
  • Bookmarks, print and export with ink
  • Light, dark, sepia, inverted and e-ink modes

What costs money, and what it costs

Nothing in the list above needs a purchase. enScore Pro is a one-time purchase of A$17.95, not a subscription, and adds five advanced tools for performers: setlists with a page range and tempo per entry, annotation layers you can show or hide, Score Snips (paste the bars after a page turn before it), Score Shortcuts (tap a repeat or a Coda and the page jumps) and IMSLP search inside the app. Sync, which keeps your library on every device you sign into, is optional at A$24.95 a year or A$2.95 a month. Stores show the equivalent in your own currency, and either purchase, made on any store, unlocks on every platform you sign into. Full pricing.

Where to find free sheet music

IMSLP holds a large library of public-domain scores. With the free version, download a PDF from IMSLP in your browser and import it into enScore; with Pro, search and import IMSLP from inside the app. The enScore Store also has editions from music publishers, some of them free to add.

Questions

Is enScore really free?

Yes. The download is free on every platform, with no time limit, no limit on the number of scores and no account needed.

Is enScore Pro a subscription?

No. Pro is a single one-time purchase (A$17.95) that unlocks on every platform you sign into. Only Sync is a subscription, and it is optional.

What does the free version leave out?

Only advanced tools. Setlists, annotation layers, Score Snips, Score Shortcuts and IMSLP search inside the app are part of Pro; reading, writing on scores, page turns, pedals and imports are all free. Keeping several devices in sync needs the optional Sync subscription.

Do I need an account to use enScore?

No. An account is only needed for Sync and for the online title and composer detection.

Can I get free sheet music into enScore?

Yes. Download public-domain PDFs from IMSLP and import them, or search IMSLP inside the app with Pro. Some editions in the enScore Store are free.
