Effective Date: 12 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of enScore, a sheet music application made available for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, Android, and Windows by Jonathan Vardouniotis (ABN 76 556 821 750) ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using enScore, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not install or use enScore.
These Terms also serve as the End User Licence Agreement ("EULA") between you and us, in addition to any required terms of the app store or platform through which you obtained enScore — for example, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement, or the applicable terms of Google Play, the Microsoft Store, or the Amazon Appstore.
enScore is a digital sheet music reader and annotator. Core reading and annotation features are free to use without an account.
Optional cloud features require sign-in — via Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or Sign in with Amazon — and, for some features, an active subscription:
enScore offers two paid tiers, available on every platform:
A non-consumable purchase that unlocks Pro features — currently including Lists, Bookmarks, IMSLP Search and import, Layers, and the Selection Tool — on every device and platform where you sign in to the same enScore account. (The feature set evolves over time; the paywall inside the app is always the authoritative, current list.)
This is a one-time payment. Apple Family Sharing is supported per Apple's family-sharing rules where you purchase through the App Store; equivalent family-sharing mechanisms, where offered by another store, are governed by that store's own rules.
| Plan | Reference Price | Billing Period |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | A$2.99 / month | Monthly |
| Yearly | A$24.99 / year | Yearly |
enScore Sync enables automatic synchronisation of your scores, annotations, bookmarks, and audio attachments across all your devices, on any supported platform.
enScore Pro and enScore Sync are account-level entitlements, not per-store or per-platform licenses. Buy either one, on any supported store (App Store, Google Play, Microsoft Store, or Amazon Appstore), and once you sign in to the same enScore account on another device or platform, that purchase unlocks there too — you do not need to buy it again. Signing in is what carries an entitlement across platforms; a store's own "restore purchases" only ever covers other devices on that same store.
If you make a purchase without ever signing in to an enScore account, that purchase is tied to the store/device it was made on and can only be restored through that store's own restore mechanism — it will not automatically appear on another platform. Signing in links it to your account going forward.
The specific auto-renewal terms, price-change notice, refund window, and cancellation flow for enScore Sync are set by the store you subscribed through:
In every case, cancelling your enScore subscription does not delete your enScore account or your library — see Section 8 (Termination).
Reference prices above are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD). Each store displays and charges an equivalent local-currency price in your region, following that store's own exchange-rate and pricing-tier rules — the price shown to you in the app's paywall, for your account and store, is authoritative.
Refund requests are handled by the store you purchased through, not by us:
If you are an Australian consumer, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply and are not excluded by these Terms.
You may restore previously purchased content at any time via Settings → Restore Purchases within enScore. Because enScore entitlements are account-level (see above), restoring is normally a matter of signing in to your enScore account; the store-specific restore mechanism is the fallback for purchases made without signing in.
The enScore Store (the Store tab in enScore, where available, and store.enscore.app) sells digital sheet music editions from music publishers. This section applies to Store purchases. It is separate from enScore Pro and enScore Sync in Section 3, which are refunded by the store you bought them through.
For most countries, Store purchases are sold to you by enScore (ABN 76 556 821 750, Sydney, Australia). Payment is processed by Stripe on its secure checkout page, and Stripe emails your receipt. For buyers in the United Kingdom and South Korea, the purchase is sold through Link, a Stripe service, which acts as the seller of that transaction and sends your receipt; the checkout page tells you which applies before you pay. Store purchases are not made through the App Store, Google Play, the Microsoft Store or the Amazon Appstore. Your purchases are listed in Your account.
When you buy or get an edition, you receive a personal licence for your enScore account to read it in enScore on your own devices, for your own use. You do not own the copyright in the music or the edition, and you may not share, sell or pass the files on. What an edition allows (for example printing, and the number of devices) is shown on its page before you buy. Editions you have bought stay in your library even if they later leave the Store.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and under any other consumer law that applies to you, are not affected by this section.
You retain ownership of all PDF files, annotations, bookmarks, lists, audio attachments, and other content you create or import into enScore ("Your Content").
By enabling cloud sync, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, transmit, and synchronise Your Content across your devices solely for the purpose of providing the sync service. We do not access, view, share, or use Your Content for any other purpose, except as described in Section 5a (AI-Assisted Detection) below, and only where you have that feature enabled.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to upload, store, and use any content within enScore. enScore is not designed as a platform for sharing copyrighted material with others; the sync feature is for your own use across your own devices. If you use enScore's own export/share tools (for example, exporting a list of scores as a file to send to someone else), you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share that content with the recipient.
enScore allows searching and importing public-domain sheet music from the International Music Score Library Project (IMSLP / Petrucci Music Library).
AI-assisted title/composer detection is an optional, best-effort feature (see our Privacy Policy for what data it uses). Suggestions are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or wrong; you are responsible for reviewing and correcting any title or composer before relying on it. This feature can be turned off at any time in Settings, and enScore's core functionality never depends on it.
Linked media lets you attach a link to an external recording (YouTube or Apple Music) to a score. That recording is provided by, and remains subject to the terms of, the third-party service hosting it (Google/YouTube or Apple). We do not control whether such content remains available, and a link may stop working if the underlying recording is removed or the provider's service changes. Playback of a linked recording is also subject to that provider's own terms (for example, an active Apple Music subscription may be required to play an Apple Music link).
YouTube. enScore uses YouTube API Services to search for and play YouTube recordings. By using enScore's YouTube features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and you acknowledge that Google's handling of your data in connection with those features is described in the Google Privacy Policy. See the "Linked media" section of our Privacy Policy for what YouTube data enScore stores and how to have it deleted.
You agree not to:
enScore, its design, source code, trademarks, and all related materials are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except as expressly set out herein.
You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use enScore on devices owned or controlled by you, in accordance with these Terms and any additional licence terms of the store through which you obtained enScore (for example, the Apple Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement for App Store installs).
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy available to you under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other applicable consumer protection law that cannot be lawfully excluded. If you are a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to remedies that we cannot exclude.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales for any disputes arising under these Terms. This does not affect any non-waivable consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the service, our business, or the law. The "Effective Date" above will reflect the most recent revision. Where the changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (within the app, by email, or via our website). Continued use of enScore after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you should stop using enScore.
